Celebrated my birthday at Narita in City, thanks to the recommendation from friends. Apparently this little Japanese place serves good cheap Japanese food, for under $10 for a Bento Box. Meals were decently priced, and well portioned.
(though it was just fried chicken)
Headed back to my place for the cake. Bought a cake from the Rocket Kitchen in Ponsonby, thanks to the Entertainment book voucher, the cake didn't cost too much.
Apparently they pride themselves for this cake, it's their best selling cake. The cake was not bad, really moist chocolatey mud cake. Didn't really taste the whiskey, though possibly used in the ganache. Unfortunately, egg shells were found inside the cake. Other than that, the cake was decent. May go back again for cakes next time.
Thanks for everyone who came along that night, good time to catch up before we go away for the summer.
